Troubleshooting procedure

Malfunction
Failed current measurement
Failed to power on the instrument when power is
supplied

Checking the current input fuse

1. Press [Ω2W] to access 2W resistance measurement.
2. Connect a red test lead between Ω and 3 A input terminal.
3. Observe the resistance reading on the display. Replace the fuse if the resistance reading is > 0.3 Ω.

Self-Test Procedures

Remove all test connections to the multimeter before performing self-test.
A power-on self-test occurs automatically when you turn on the multimeter. This limited test assures you that the
multimeter is operational.
Press [Shift] > [Store/Recall] |
It takes less than 10 seconds for the self-test to complete.
You can also perform a complete self-test from the remote interface, see Programming Guide for details.
