    Setting Up the Projector Follow the instructions in these sections to set up your projector for use. Projector Placement Projector Connections Installing Batteries in the Remote Control Setting Up Android TV Projector Placement You can place the projector on almost any flat surface to project an image. You can also install the projector in a ceiling mount if you want to use it in a fixed location.

  • Page 28 4. Attach the mounting plate to the projector and secure it in place with the screws that came with the mounting plate. Caution: Do not use the feet you removed in step 2 to attach the mounting plate. They could loosen and cause the projector to fall.

    6. If necessary, mount the AC adapter on the wall or ceiling using the AC adapter holder that is included with the mounting plate. Caution: Install the AC adapter at least 11.8 inches (30 cm) away from the projector. If the temperature of the AC adapter rises due to heat from the projector, the projector may not operate properly.

The video source's sound is output to the projector's speaker.

    Note: The projector's audio out port only supports 3-pin stereo headphones using a 3.5-mm mini-stereo cable. If you use any other type of headphones, audio may not be output normally.     The only parts you should replace are the air filter and remote control batteries. If any other part needs replacing, contact Epson or an authorized Epson servicer. If you have to send your projector in for service, you should reset your projector settings. See the link below.

    Turning Off the Projector Air Filter and Vent Maintenance Regular filter maintenance is important to maintaining your projector. Your Epson projector is designed with an easily accessible, user-replaceable filter to protect your projector and make regular maintenance simple. Filter maintenance intervals will depend on the environment.

    If regular maintenance is not performed, your Epson projector will notify you when the temperature inside the projector has reached a high level. Do not wait until this warning appears to maintain your projector filter as prolonged exposure to high temperatures may reduce the life of your projector or laser.

    • If you are projecting from a computer using an HDMI cable, turn off the computer and the projector. Make sure the HDMI cable is securely connected, turn the projector on, then turn the computer on. • Make sure the computer's display resolution does not exceed the projector's resolution and frequency limits.
