minutes and will adjust the Estimated Time of Arrival
(ETA) when applicable.

soon as the navigation application is started a 2D map
is shown including the traffic situation, this provides
the best overview from a user point of view.As soon
as the drive starts, the application will automatically
switch to the guidance view with the relevant traffic
informationa long the route, not only the next upcoming
incident but also traffic jams that will be encountered
further along the journey.

18 Traffic information on the map

The traffic tubes on the map reflect the current situatio
in length.The color reflects the traffic flow speed. When
the map is zoomed out, an icon i.e. a panel will be disp-
layed at the start of a traffic tube reflecting the actual
traffic delay. When a route is planned, traffic incidents
that intersect a planned route will always have the delay
displayed regardless of the zoom level.The delay displ-
for incidents that intersect the route is an expected delay
by the time one gets to that part of the route. If there is
no delay expected, the icon will show only the incident
type without a delay time. The minimum duration of a
traffic jam or incident is 1minute.The actual delay must
be 30 seconds or more. This value is rounded up to a
