It is recommended to configure the NK Switchboard settings globally before performing any switches.

Specifying the Number of Inputs, Outputs, and Levels

You can create a custom setup and save the settings to an *.nks file.

To specify the number of inputs, outputs, and levels in the NK Switchboard interface
1.
Display the Configure IPS dialog as outlined in the procedure "To navigate to the Configure IPS dialog".
2.
In the Configure IPS dialog, locate the row for the NK-IPS you wish to configure.
3.
To save the settings when saving to an *.nks file, select the Custom check box.
4.
To specify the number of inputs:
a. Double-click the cell in the #Ins column for the applicable NK-IPS.
b. Enter the maximum number of inputs (sources) to display in the NK Switchboard interface.
5.
To specify the number of outputs:
a. Double-click the cell in the #Outs column for the applicable NK-IPS.
b. Enter the maximum number of outputs (destinations) to display NK Switchboard interface.
6.
To specify the number of levels:
a. Double-click the cell in the #Levs column for the applicable NK-IPS.
b. Enter the maximum number of levels to display NK Switchboard interface.
7.
Click
to apply the new settings and close the dialog.
