Manually Adding an NK-IPS to the Tree View in DashBoard

If an NK-IPS is not listed in the NK-IPS Connection interface, it can be manually added by entering its IP Address
via the Manual Connection dialog.
To manually add an NK-IPS connection in DashBoard
1.
Launch DashBoard.
2.
In the main toolbar of DashBoard, select File > Manual Connection.
The Manual Connection interface opens.

Enter the IP Address for the NK-IPS in the IP Address field.

Finish
The NK-IPS displays in the Tree View.

Configuring the Communication Settings for the NK-IPS

Use the NK Series IPS interface in DashBoard to configure the interface and security options for the NK-IPS such
as assigning a unique name to the device, assigning a T-Bus Address, setting up communication for the MC-1 and
specifying the DashBoard client connection details.

Updating the Network Settings for the NK-IPS

Once you establish initial communications with the NK-IPS, and it displays in the DashBoard Tree View, you may
wish to review or change the IP address and other network settings according to your facility network requirements.
This section is not applicable if your NK-IPS is already set to the correct IP address.
To update the network settings for an NK-IPS
1.
Display the NK Series IPS interface as outlined in the procedure "To access the NK Series IPS interface in
DashBoard".
2.
Locate the Network Settings area in the NK Series IPS interface.
