wood or bundles of wood at the same time – this
poses a serious risk of injury. Place bent pieces of
wood in the feed carried so that the side that is
bent outwards faces the saw blade.
The feed carriage (6) for the wood is fitted with
n
hooks (13) that prevent the wood from turning.
Before you press the ON/OFF switch (11), make
n
sure that the saw blade (4) is fitted correctly and
that the machineʼs moving parts run smoothly.
7. Operating
7.1 Sawing (Fig 9-11)
Important: Before starting up, make sure each
time that the self-locking nuts (H,K) for the cross
bolts and guide rods are attached.
Saw blade guard and covering plate must both
be attached!
The machine must have direct contact with the
floor!
Place the wood in the feed carriage.
n
Press the green button to switch on the saw.
n
Wait until it reaches full speed.
Take hold of the carriage with both hands on the
n
handle (14) and move it towards the saw blade
(4).
Pressing the carriage releases the saw blade from
n
the saw blade cover (3).
Do not apply so much pressure to the feed
n
carriage that the motor speed falls.
After the cut has been completed return the
n
carriage completely to its initial position.
Remove the saw wood from the carriage.
n
To turn the saw off again, press the red button "0".
n
Important: Never switch on the machine again
whilst it is slowing down.
Note: If the wood cannot be sawn completely in a
n
single cut, turn it over (reversing cut). To do this
return the feed carriage to its initial position, turn
the wood along the cut and saw through it again.
Important: If the saw blade (4) does not reach a
n
standstill after a maximum of 10 seconds, have the
brake checked by an authorized specialist and
replaced if necessary.
Pull the power plug immediately after finishing
n
work. Never leave the machine until you have
pulled the plug and secured the machine to
prevent its unauthorized use.
7.2. Changing the saw blade (Fig. 12-16)
Important: Pull the power plug!
Allow the saw blade to cool before you change it.
Do not use inflammable liquids to clean the saw
blade.
Always wear gloves when handling saw blades.
18
Risk of injury!
Remove the screw (15) from the cover plate (16)
n
and pull the cover plate downwards.
Self locking nut (H) should be loosened if the
n
seesaw position is open (if splint (9) is taken off).
Remove the cross bolts (E) and washers (F,G). The
moveable work frame (6) can now be completely
opened. After removing the screws, take off the
attached saw blade cover (2) sideways. Hold the
drive shaft securely with a wrench.
Loosen the flange screw (18) in a counter-
n
clockwise direction.
Remove the flange screw (18) and external flange
n
(19) from the saw shaft (20).
Now the saw blade (4) can be removed from the
n
saw shaft (20)
Carefully clean the saw blade (4), external flange
n
(19) and flange screw (18) before assembly.
To reassemble new saw blades, proceed in the
n
reverse order and re-tighten the flange screw (18).
Important: Do not try to secure the flange screw by
hitting the tool and do not use tool extensions!
Make sure the rotation of the saw blade (4) is in the
correct direction.
Attach the saw blade cover (16), cover plate and
n
spring mechanism.
Important: Tools must again be separated from the
n
flange screw!
7.3. Transport (Fig. 6,17)
The chassis means that the saw can be transported
by a single person.
7.4. Overload cut-out (Fig. 14)
The motor of this equipment is protected against
overload by an overload switch (A). If the rated current
is exceeded, the overload switch (A) shuts down the
equipment.
Let the equipment cool down for several minutes.
n
Press the overload switch.
n
Press the green button "I" to switch on the
n
equipment.
8. Maintenance, cleaning, repair
Caution: Pull out the power plug first.
Remove dust and dirt regularly from the machine. Use
a hand brush or cloth for this. Test the saw blade
regularly for signs of wear. During longer periods of
standstill, the saw blade, the spring mechanism (8)
and the mount (17) of the moveable work frame
should be lightly oiled.
Blunt saw blades must be sharpened. Clean
resinified saw blades.
