Appendix F: Media Bath Setup

The media bath allows specimens to remain submerged in a temperature-controlled fluid.
To set up the media bath, follow these steps:
Note: The load cell and appropriate grip or platen should already be attached before completing
these steps.
1. Place the polycarbonate media chamber on the UniVert base.
2. Fit a ½" O-ring supplied with the system into the groove in the bottom of the media
chamber.
3. Select a riser.
4. Carefully place the UniVert motor housing on its side.
5. Select the M5x100 fastener for an 80mm riser, the M5x60 fastener for a 40mm riser or
an M5x16 fastener when not using a riser.
