Intended Use
This product is an inspection camera for the BS-1000T or BS-1500T endoscope main device
(not included, available separately), designed for optical troubleshooting or inspecting long
pipe systems as well as machines and installations that are disconnected from a power
supply. The product is tested and approved for inspection tasks in the measuring categories
CAT III 1000 V / CAT IV 600 V according to EN 61010-1.
Operation under adverse ambient conditions like explosive materials, flammable gasses,
vapours or solvents is not permitted.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the
product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as a short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the
instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Only make this product available to third
parties together with its operating instructions.

Safety information
Read the operating instructions and safety information carefully. If you do not
follow the safety information and information on proper handling in these
operating instruction, we will assume no liability for any resulting personal
injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
• This device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a
dangerous toy for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts,
flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unintended use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged
- is no longer working properly
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may
damage the product.
• Always observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which
are connected to the product.
• The endoscope must not be used in areas that are at risk of explosion or for
inspecting people and animals.
• Avoid strong vibrations. The bending radius must not be less than the minimum
of 9 cm.
• Only hold the camera head and camera neck in liquids that are not connected
to a power source. The camera neck must not be submerged beyond the "MAX
Water Level" mark.
• The connection sockets must not come into contact with liquids.
• Warning, LED light:
- Do not look directly at the LED light!
- Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• Always comply with the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment
when using the product in commercial facilities.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be done by a technician or a
specialist repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
• Measurement category CAT III for measuring in building installation (e.g. outlets
or sub-distribution).
• Measurement category CAT IV for measuring at the origin of the low-voltage
installation (e.g. main distribution, electricity provider's transfer points to homes,
etc.) and outdoors.
• WARNING! Danger of death from electric shock!
- Avoid contact with moisture during inspections in the CAT III / CAT IV range. In
order to comply with safety standards for CAT III / CAT IV, the camera and the
endoscope cable (camera neck) may not come into contact with condensed
humidity or other moisture. Even though the camera and the endoscope cable
are waterproof according to IP67, the electrical safety according to CAT III /
CAT IV in contact with moisture is no longer present in water due to water's
conductive properties. Always touch the product behind the protective ring.
Never touch the camera head and cable if there is the possibility that the product
may come into contact with electrical energy.
- Measurement category CAT III / CAT IV - Inspections may only be carried out
in dry conditions and in dry environments. The environment may not be moist.
- Failure to follow these warnings poses a risk of serious injury as well as the risk
of fatal electric shock.
Operation
Only hold the camera head and goose neck in liquids that are not connected to a
power source.
The camera neck must not be submerged beyond the "MAX Water Level" mark.
The endoscope may only be used in damp areas for inspections of equipment
disconnected from the power supply. For safety reasons, switch off the power to all
components prior to every inspection in damp areas.
Avoid heavy mechanical loads and vibrations. The bending radius must not be less
than the minimum of 9 cm.

Protective

a) Connecting/changing the inspection camera
• Connect the 5-pin socket to the endoscope main device.
• Observe the correct orientation of the connection plug and socket. The groove on the plug
must fit exactly on the pin in the socket. On the connector of the cable, there is an arrow for
orientation.
• Screw the metal screw cap on the plug into place in a clockwise direction. Turn the metal
screw lock counter-clockwise to remove it from the main device. Then disconnect the plug.
