20.2 Preparation by qualified personnel

All servicing, repair and testing work must be carried out only by specialist trained
personnel. The checklist must be assessed and repairs carried out only by specialist
personnel who have the relevant training, skills and experience.

21. Assurances and Warranty

Novacare gmbh places great value on high quality, from the selection of materials
to the standard of workmanship. Components supplied from outside, such as drive
units, are specially manufactured to meet our high demands in terms of quality and
reliability.
Guarantee conditions:
• We offer a guarantee on every hoist in the ProLift series, covering defects occurring
within 24 months of purchase and arising from faults in manufacturing and/or
materials. This guarantee covers repair or (if repair is impossible) replacement,
free of charge.
• The guarantee will not apply where the defect in the device is due to inappropriate
use and/or use outside the device's intended purpose or contrary to regulations
contained in these instructions for use.
• We will not be liable for damage or faults arising from fair wear and tear or during
transportation.
• Replacement of wear parts such as harnesses is not included in the guarantee.
• The guarantee on batteries is six months.
Warranty:
• The warranty complies with legal requirements.
• Any warranty is invalid if goods supplied by us are processed, handled or altered
without our approval, or if our instructions for use are not followed.
• For medical products as defined by EU Directive 93/42/EEC, whose use is subject
to regular maintenance and preparation (where relevant under the German
Regulations for the Use of Medical Products - MPBetreibV), the warranty will apply
only if the manufacturer's prescribed servicing intervals are observed.
