(Refer to Section 2-3-1.)
Procedure after replacement
1. Print the test pattern. (Refer to Section 2-3-1.)
2. Perform the density check and adjustment
(Refer to Section 2-3-2).
3. Check the printing position. (Adjust the printing
position if required.) (Refer to Section 2-3-3.)
4. Reset the head total count. (Refer to Section 2-3-4.)
n

continuously.

2-3-1. Test Pattern Print

1. Check that the ink ribbon and paper are loaded in this
unit.
2. Start the service mode. (Refer to Section 2-1-1.)
3. Move the cursor to "PRINT TEST:" in SVC1 using
the [)] button.
4. Press the [EXEC] button.
The test pattern (STEP (V)) is displayed on the
monitor and the printing starts.
At that time, this unit controls the thermal head
temperature until it becomes appropriate temperature.
. When the head temperature is low:
Perform the preheating, and start the printing after
the head temperature becomes appropriate.
. When the head temperature is high:
Perform the cooling by the fan, and start the printing
after the head temperature becomes appropriate.
n
If the top cover is attached to this unit, the temperature
in this unit tends to increase (the temperature of
thermal head is not appropriate). So it may take time
before the printing starts after the [EXEC] button is
pressed. It is recommended to perform the procedure
with the top cover removed, which saves the time
before the printing starts.
(For the procedure of removing the top cover, refer to
Section 1-3-1.)
