    Navigation Basics 1.1 About GPS The Global Positioning System (GPS) is available at any time, free of charge, and accurate to within 5m (15ft). GPS navigation is made possible by a network of satellites. Each satellite transmits a range of signals which are utilized by GPS receivers to determine an exact location.

    NOTE: Before you begin, check if your vehicle is fitted with a heat-reflective or heated windscreen. If so, you may need to purchase an external antenna for your device to receive GPS signals.     Using Recents Use “Recents” to select an existing destination from a list of previously traveled destinations. 1. Tap to open the Recents screen. Recents 2. Tap the desired item on the recent routes list. 3. To calculate a route, tap at the bottom of the screen.

    NOTE: Tap More button to view more information about the location. Tap Save button to save the selected location as My Home or Favourite. Using Favourites “Favourites” is a collection of locations previously stored by you for future use. (See Section 4.1 for information on creating Favorites.) You can save up to 200 items.

    Using My Home To use this feature, you need to first set up the location of your “home”. . The system will immediately calculate a route from your My Home GPS position to your home and shows the route in a green line on the map. Using Map Location Map Location allows you to drag the map to your desired location and navigate to that selected location.

    2.3 Navigation Aids When a route is calculated, by default, the 3D Map screen is shown. The route is displayed in a green line on the map. You will be guided to your destination with turn-by-turn visual and voice prompts. When coming to a turn point or the entrance or exit of highway/expressway, the turn section is marked in yellow.

    More Navigation Features 3.1 Favourites The Favourites feature allows you to save your frequently used locations for easy access later. Creating Favourites/My Home 1. You select a location for your Favourites/My Home the same way you select a destination. 2.     3.2 Multi-stop Trip Planner The Multi-stop Trip Planner feature allows you to set multiple stops or waypoints for your trip. 1. Tap to open the Favourites screen and tap Favourites Multi-stop Trip Planner 2. Tap and select a location from My Home, Favourites, Recents, Address and POIs.

Your system calculates a route from your current location to the waypoints and shows the route in a green line on the map. NOTE: When you go along the road, you can tap anywhere on the map to open the map menu and tap Route Skip Waypoint to skip the next waypoint and the route is recalculated to the following waypoint.

    Saving the Trip to your Favourites With a Multi-stop trip ready, tap on the Multi-stop Trip preview screen and tap Save to add the trip as your favourite. The trip will be added to your Save as Favourite Favourites list. 3.3 Previewing a Route Route Demonstration feature allows you to preview your route before you go.
