travel), so that the connection bolts of the seat come
out of the rear connection hooks of the TAKATA
I-SIZE BASE (PLUS).
Step 2 – Free the seat from the front connection hooks
and remove
[I-SIZE_BASE_035_2] Free the connection rod of the
TAKATA MINI I-SIZE or the TAKATA MIDI I-SIZE
(PLUS) from the front hooks of the TAKATA I-SIZE
BASE (PLUS) by sliding the TAKATA MINI I-SIZE
or the TAKATA MIDI I-SIZE (PLUS) backward,
against the direction of travel. You should now be able
to lift the TAKATA MINI I-SIZE or the TAKATA
MIDI I-SIZE (PLUS) from the TAKATA I-SIZE
BASE (PLUS), and remove it from your vehicle.
Removing the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS)
Step 1 – Unlock the ISOFIX connectors
[I-SIZE_BASE_014] Separate the connectors on the
TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS) from the ISOFIX
points in the vehicle, by moving the locking sliders of
the release sliders down and, at the same time, pulling
the release slider on each connector forward (in the
direction of travel). The components have been
separated if a red marking can be seen on the top of
each ISOFIX connector.
Step 2 – Retract the ISOFIX connectors
[I-SIZE_BASE_012] Press the left-hand button on the
ISOFIX length adjuster as far in as possible. The button
is positioned on the inner side of the TAKATA I-SIZE
BASE (PLUS). At the same time, push the left-hand
connector back into the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE
(PLUS).
The two ISOFIX connectors must be adjusted
independently. Repeat Step 2 for the right-hand
connector.
NOTE!
The connectors have been fully retracted when all
fi gures from 1 to 5 are displayed on the top of the
ISOFIX connectors.
Step 3 – Fold in the support leg and remove it
[I-SIZE_BASE_009 + I-SIZE_BASE_010] Fold the
support leg in, as described in Section 3 – Basic
instructions (Adjusting the support leg). You should
now be able to remove the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE
(PLUS) from your vehicle.

5. SECURING YOUR CHILD

NOTE!
For safety reasons, children should always get in and
out from the passenger side of the vehicle, or directly
onto a sidewalk.
WARNING!
To safely carry your child in a vehicle, the TAKATA
I-SIZE BASE (PLUS) is insuffi cient on its own. The
TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS) provides a means of
securely affi xing the TAKATA MINI I-SIZE or
TAKATA MIDI I-SIZE (PLUS) to the vehicle's seat.
Your child is secured in the TAKATA MINI I-SIZE or
TAKATA MIDI I-SIZE (PLUS), attached to the base as
outlined in the section Use in vehicle (Securing the
TAKATA MINI I-SIZE in a backward-facing position,
Securing the TAKATA MIDI I-SIZE (PLUS) in a
backward-facing position, and Securing the TAKATA
MIDI I-SIZE (PLUS) in a forward-facing position).

the instructions in these sections precisely.

6. CARE AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING!
The TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS) must never be
taken apart for cleaning or maintenance. Failure to
observe this notice may seriously risk your child's
safety, and the safety of other passengers, in the event
of an accident.
Plastic components can be cleaned with water or a
mild soapy solution. To avoid the build-up of mould,
store the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS) in a
well-ventilated, dry place.
7. INFORMATION
REGARDING DISPOSAL
Please follow local regulations when disposing of
TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS) packaging and the
base itself, observing any information stated on the
packaging and components regarding the materials.
