INSTALLATION GUIDE
This computer is designed to operate reliably within a normal office
environment. Choose a site that meets the following criteria:

Off the floor; the computer is designed to sit on a desktop or
other surface off the floor.
♦
Near a grounded power outlet.
♦
Clean and dust free.
♦
Well ventilated and away from sources of heat.
♦
Situated to provide adequate clearance for cooling and airflow.
About 10 centimetres at the rear, 5 centimetres on each side,
and 10 centimetres in front.
WARNING
An incorrect voltage setting will damage the power supply. If you do
not set the voltage selector switch to the correct voltage, the power
supply will be damaged when you plug the power cord into an AC
power outlet.
Before connecting the power cord to the back panel of the
computer, make sure that the voltage selector switch is set to the
correct AC line source voltage for your region.

For line voltages between 100 and 127 VAC, set the line
voltage selector on the power supply switch to 115V (115
VAC).
♦
For line voltages between 200 and 240, set the line voltage
selector switch on the power supply to 230V (230 VAC).
Make sure that the correct voltage—115V or 230V—is visible on
the switch, see the illustration overleaf.
Do not plug in the computer power cord until you connect all other
external cables (mouse, keyboard, video monitor, printer,
LAN, etc.)
