Set thc 7011 for TI ME INT CLOCK count modc. Set
the TRIGGER SOURCE to EXT. Set the TRIGGER
LEVEL control for a triggered condition as indicated by
the TR IG ' D indicator light.

Set the DELAY TIME OR EVENTS control to select
a delay interval which ends just before the pulse to be
measured.
Connect the Dl Y ' O TRIG OUT to the lime-base

Set the time·base unit for a sweep rate which displays
just the pulse or leading edge to be measured.
9. Pulse jiltcr is shown by horizontal movement of the
pulse (take into account inherent jilter of 7011). Measure
the amount of horizontal movement directly from the CRT
graticulc.

amount of pulse jitter is then 0.2
nanoseconds.
