– Insert air filter element -3- centrally into mounting in upper part
of air filter housing -4-.
– Fit lower part of air filter housing -2- on upper part of air filter
housing -4- and join them using bolts -1-.
– Fit air hoses/ducts to air filter housing -1-.
– Fit hose clips -3- and -4-.
– Position air filter housing -1- centrally on ball head pins and
press on.
– Fit air hose -2- on upper part of air filter housing -1-.

ment, common rail engines
Removing
– Unscrew securing bolts -arrows- from upper part of air filter
housing and lift upper part of air filter housing together with air
ducts to one side.
– Remove air filter element -1- and snow screen -2-.
Note
The snow screen is not fitted on all vehicles.
Installing
– Check air filter housing, air mass meter and water drains for
soiling and clean them if necessary
– Insert snow screen -17- into lower part of air filter housing
-18-.
