9. DEFECTS AND THEIR REPAIR

Symptoms of improper
operation
Stream of spread sand or
salt is not continuous
Transmission belt slips off
the drum
Belt skidding on driving
drum
Driving drum is not
rotating
Spreading disk is not
rotating
Noisy gear box
WARNING!
Prior service works turn tractor's drive off and take ignition key out.
WARNING!
Do not remove clogs or poke the material when spreader is operating.

10. REPAIR AND DISPOSAL

10.1. Repair

WARNING!
Before performing any repairs the gritter must be disconnected from the
tractor.
Before repairing or assessing whether the machine is still serviceable, the machine should be
carefully cleaned of dirt, mud and plant remains.
After checking nuts and bolts, proper slack in joints, gears we can assess if the machine is still
serviceable. Worn out bolts, pegs and pins should be replaced.
Once the machine is repaired perform the following:
make sure that all elements are installed properly,
install the removed guards,
check whether screws and nuts are tightened,
once all the guards are installed, perform a warm-up start to make sure the repaired machine
operates properly.

Solution
Move the suspended fertiliser in
container.
Increase belt tensioning
by means of tensioning belt
towards the side of shifting
Increase belt tensioning with
tensioner's support
Put on and tension belt
Replace belt
Tension belt by means of
corresponding bolt
Refill oil
Repair gear box
Move the suspended fertiliser in
container
