Video Plus+ Extended

To prevent delays or over-runs the DVD Recorder has a function called Video
Plus+ Extended allowing you to extended the recording time by up to 60
minutes.

• Only use if PDC/VPS is not available or set to OFF.

1. With the unit in Stop mode, press the MENU button.
2. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select Programme, then press the OK or ►
button.
3. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select VideoPlus+ Extended, then press the OK
or ► button.
4. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select the Video Plus+Extended time, then the
press OK or ► button.

5. Press the EXIT button to exit the menu.

EZ REC MODE

This function allows you Initialise and Finalise a disc automatically.
1. With the unit in Stop mode/No Disc mode, press the EZ REC MODE button
on the remote control.
2. Press the ◄ ► buttons to select On, and then press the OK button.
EZ REC MODE is set up.
3. Insert a disc.
If the disc is new, it will initialise automatically.
4. Press the REC button.
5. EZ REC MODE will Automatically Finalise the disc under the following
conditions.
- When you press the OPEN/CLOSE button on your DVD Recorder after
recording on at least 30% of the disc. The tray will open after the disc has
been fi nalised.
- When the disc is full, it will fi nalise automatically and the Recorder will remain
in stop mode.
- When you make a timer recording and it occupies at least 30% of the disc, the
disc will fi nalise automatically and the Recorder will power off .
Please note that auto fi nalisation will not work if the Recorder has more than
one Timer Recording set in the Scheduled Record List.

If you insert a new DVD-RW disc, it will be formatted in V mode after
auto initialising.
■
If you select off , you must initialise (see page 33) and fi nalise the disc
manually in the Disc Manager menu. (see page 67)
