PUTTING ON THE FRONT CARRIER
We recommend carrying babies like this from birth (approx. 3500 grams) un l they are about twelve
months old.
The connec ng piece for the shoulder straps is not required for this op on, and can be removed if preferred.
1
First, make the two backpiece straps as long as they will go to make it easier to readjust the
SMART CARRIER later.
2
Now put on the hip belt so that the buckle is on your back. When closing the buckle,
listen for the "click" sound. Now adjust the length of the hip belt by pulling the belt strap.
3
Put one of the two shoulders straps over your shoulder and cross it over your back.
Insert the shoulder buckle in the counter piece. Make sure that you hear a defi nite
„click" when you secure the buckle.
4
Pick up your child and support his head and neck with one hand. Put your baby in the baby carrier
and use your free hand to posi on his legs on the right and le of the carrier.
5
Now put the second shoulder strap over your other shoulder, lean back slightly, and cross it over
your back. Be sure to hold your child fi rmly, and con nue suppor ng his head and neck. Insert the
shoulder buckle in the counterpart. Make sure that you hear a defi nite „click" when you secure
the buckle. You might fi nd it easier if someone else helps you.
6
Tighten the backpiece strap by pulling it at an angle down and away from your body.
This should result in you and your child feeling comfortable and safe. Ensure that your child
can breathe normally!
7
Angle your baby's knees slightly so he is in the orthopaedically correct „frog leg" posi on, and
pull the fabric of the seat to the correct width so he is si ng comfortably and is safely supported.
8
And that's it!
