  • Page 2 P-870M-Ix Series User’s Guide 1 Connections Your P-870M-I Series (“P-870M-I”) is a VDSL2 modem. VDSL2 provides high-speed Internet access up to 100 Mbits per second (each way) through a telephone line. As a result, your P-870M-I is an ideal modem for Triple Play services, such as voice, video, high definition television (HDTV), and interactive gaming.
  • Page 3 P-870M-Ix Series User’s Guide 1 Use a telephone wire to connect the P-870M-I DSL port to the DSL (or MODEM) port on a splitter. If you do not have a splitter, connect the DSL port directly to the telephone jack. 2 Use an Ethernet cable to connect the P-870M-I ETHERNET port to the computer.
