DANGER:
Laser radiation. Avoid direct eye contact with light source.
WARNING:
Use of controls or adjustments or performance of
procedures other than those specified herein may result
in hazardous radiation exposure.
TO ADJUST THE LASER GUIDE
See Figure 35.
 Set miter and bevel angles to 0º.
 Use the work clamp or a C-clamp to secure a piece of
scrap wood.
 Install the battery pack and make a slight cut to score
the wood.
 Release the switch trigger and allow the saw blade to
stop rotating before raising the blade.
 Raise the saw arm.
 Remove the battery pack.
 Turn on the laser guide.
NOTE: The broken line may begin slightly skewed off of
the mark in the uppermost position. As the saw blade
assembly is lowered, at the approximate point the lower
blade guard starts to move, the laser line will be aligned
with the mark and remain aligned throughout the cut. This
is normal. NEVER attempt to move the workpiece while
making a cut. Always keep hands outside the "No Hands
Zone".
 Using the Phillips end of the supplied blade wrench, turn
the laser adjustment screw counterclockwise to move the
laser line left or clockwise to move the laser line right.
NOTE: When properly aligned, the laser should be on the
left edge of the kerf.
ADJUSTING THE MITER LOCK LEVER
See Figure 36.
The lock lever consists of a repositionable lever and locking
hex screw. The lever can be repositioned without moving the
hex screw for the best tightening orientation.
To reposition the lever:
 With the lever seated against the hex screw, rotate the
lever clockwise to lock the hex screw as tightly as possible
with the lever in the current position.
 Pull the lever away from the saw to disengage it from the
hex screw.
