Information Status Alarms
These notifications provide the status of the PureWave SMS-250 system and will not
affect the proper operation of the system. See Table 5 for the listed information statuses.

Indicates the ac circuit breaker is closed and has been closed

Indicates an auto reset has been activated

Indicates the PureWave SMS-250 system is taking

Battery at Open
Indicates the battery is at open circuit voltage to avoid

charging or discharging the battery (This is used when the
inverter is running vars and the power is held at zero .)

Compact Flash
Indicates there is a problem with the compact flash card used

Troubleshooting Tip: Replace the Compact Flash card. If
the problem still persists, contact S&C Electric Company.
Dc Breaker
Indicates the dc circuit breaker is closed and has been closed

Dc Pre-charge
Indicates the dc pre-charge voltage is above what is

expected, causing problems with charging the dc link
Troubleshooting Tip: Contact S&C Electric Company.

Indicates the dc pre-charge voltage is below what is

expected, causing problems with charging the dc link
Troubleshooting Tip: Contact S&C Electric Company.
Ethernet Power
Indicates the PureWave SMS-250 system is following a power
setpoint from an Ethernet command
Troubleshooting Tip: No action is required.
Ethernet Switch
Indicates the Ethernet switch is reporting a problem
Problem
Troubleshooting Tip: Check all blue Ethernet cables to
make sure they are connected.
Ethernet VARs
Indicates the PureWave SMS-250 system is following a var
command from the Ethernet connection to the lead unit
or a master control
Troubleshooting Tip: No action is required.
KVA Limit Is
Indicates the PureWave SMS-250 system is not outputting
Limiting Vars
the commanded amount of vars due to the real power flow
occurring at the same time
Troubleshooting Tip: To generate the full reactive power
expected, reduce the real power command.
