APPENDIX B—ENGAGEMENT ARM SHOCK REMOVAL
READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ENTIRE SET OF INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PERFORMING ANY STEP IN THIS PROCESS
TOOLS NEEDED:
Shock Removal
STEP 1
Press downward on the Engagement Arm Assembly (6)
approximately 4 inches to compress the shock. The Locking
Mechanism (7) will engage, making a "BONG" sound,
keeping the Engagement Arm Shock (19) in a compressed
position.
***Note, the Locking Mechanism (7) may be Red, Yellow or
Green depending on the manufacture date.
STEP 2
The Engagement Arm Assembly (6) should be locked in a
downward position to compress the Engagement Arm Shock
(19).
STEP 3
While the Engagement Arm Shock (19) is still mounted, turn
the Clevis Joint Snap-In Pin (19a) to release the spring end
from the Yoke End Linkage (19b).
REMOVE THE PINS!
Repeat for both ends of the
Engagement Arm Shock (19).
