    Version 1.3 COPE This document describes key hardware aspects of the Laird BT830 Bluetooth HCI modules. This document is intended to assist device manufacturers and related parties, with the integration of this module into their host devices. Data in this document are drawn from a number of sources including data sheets for the CSR8811.

    Minimum safe distance for metals without seriously compromising the antenna (tuning) is 40 mm top/bottom  and 30 mm left or right. Metal close to the BT830-SA chip monopole antenna (bottom, top, left, right, any direction) will have  degradation on the antenna performance. The amount of degradation is entirely system dependent which means some testing by customers is required (in their host application).
