Epson Print Admin Quick Guide for Deployment
1. Studying the system configuration
Study the system configuration to suit your environment.
(Number of users, number of multi-function devices, connection
configuration for multi-function devices, server configuration, and so on.)
2. Acquiring the device
Acquire the following devices that meet the system requirements.
• Epson Print Admin server
• Computer for the client
• Multi-function device, authentication device, and authentication cards
3. Acquiring information
Acquire the information for the deployment environment, and then enter
the information on the Setup information sheet.
4. Acquiring Epson Open Platform setting files
Acquire the files for Epson Open Platform Settings, and information for
enhanced security.
• Firmware Update Tool
A tool to update the multi-function device firmware for the Epson Open Platform
(Only printers that require updating)
• Product key for activation
A key to activate the Epson Open Platform
• High security setting profile
A profile to prevent operation from unauthorized routes

5. Setting up devices
Configure and connect the devices used by Epson Print Admin.
• Connect multi-function device to the network
• Run the Firmware Update Tool
Update the firmware for the multi-function devices to support Epson Open Platform
(Only printers that require updating)
• Set up the product key
Set to a multi-function device using Web Config
• Connect the authentication device to the multi-function device, and
then check operation
6. Acquiring Epson Print Admin software
Acquire the installer for Epson Print Admin. Contact your dealer for more
details.
• Epson Print Admin installer
• License key
7. Checking the installation environment
Check the software and connections for Epson Print Admin server
installation.
• Check components
• Check firewalls and port numbers
• Check multi-function devices, databases (if you are using an SQL server),
and connection for client computers
