7.1 Voltage Reconnection

The
reconnection
procedure
reconnections only. Adjust the governor and voltage
regulator at the time of frequency adjustment.
The following information illustrates the reconnection of
4-lead generator sets. In all cases, follow the National
Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
Refer to the following procedure and the connection
schematics.
Follow all the safety precautions and
instructions at the beginning of this manual and in the
text
below
while
performing
procedure.
Note: Order voltage reconnection decal 246242 and
affix the decal to the generator set after
reconnecting to a voltage different from the
nameplate.
WARNING
Accidental starting.
Can cause severe injury or death.
Disconnect the battery cables before
working
on the

OFF position. (2) Disconnect the power to the battery charger.
(3) Remove the battery cables, negative (--) lead first.
Reconnect the negative (--) lead last when reconnecting the
battery. Follow these precautions to prevent starting of the
generator set by an automatic transfer switch, remote
start/stop switch, or engine start command from a remote
computer.

whenever electricity is present.
