What seems to be a malfunction is not alw ays so. Before calling for service, check the follow ing table according to the symptom
of your trouble.
Operation to reset
The microcomputer may fall into malfunction (impossibility
to operate, erroneous display, etc.) w hen the pow er cord is
unplugged w hile pow er is ON or due to an external factor. In
this case, execute the follow ing procedure to reset the
microcomputer and return it to normal condition.
Receiver, speakers
Symptom
Sound is not produced.
Sound is not produced from the left
or right speakers.
Demonstration starts suddenly.
The clock display is out of order.
Timer operation is not possible.
Radio stations cannot be received.
Noise interferes.
A station has been preset but it can-
not be received by pressing t he
P .CALL key.
The STANDBY indicator flashes red.

AUX key w hile holding the TUNING M ODE key
