The use of any accessories except for those provided might
result in damage to the unit. M ake sure only to use the
accessories shipped w ith the unit, as show n above.

Inst allat ion Procedure
1. To prevent a short circuit, remove the key from the ignition and
disconnect the - battery.
2. M ake the proper input and output w ire connections for each unit.
3. Connect the speaker w ires of the w iring harness.
4. Connect the w iring harness w ires in the follow ing order: ground,
battery, ignition.
5. Connect the w iring harness connector to the unit.
6. Install the unit in your car.
7. Reconnect the - battery.
8. Press the reset button.
2CA U TION
• If your car' s ignition does not have an ACC position, connect
the ignition w ires to a pow er source that can be turned on and
off w ith the ignition key. If you connect the ignition w ire to a
pow er source w ith a constant voltage supply, as w ith battery
w ires, the battery may die.
• If the console has a lid, make sure to install the unit so that the
faceplate w ill not hit the lid w hen closing and opening.
• If the fuse blow s, first make sure the w ires aren ' t touching to
cause a short circuit, then replace the old fuse w ith one w ith
the same rating.
• Do not let unconnected w ires or terminals touch metal on the
car or anything else conducting electricity. To prevent a short
circuit, do not remove the caps on the ends of the
unconnected w ires or the terminals.
• Connect the speaker w ires correctly to the terminals to w hich
they correspond. The unit may be damaged or fail to w ork if
you share the - w ires or ground them to any metal part in the
car.
• After the unit is installed, check w hether the brake lamps,
blinkers, w ipers, etc. on the car are w orking properly.
• Insulate unconnected w ires w ith vinyl tape or other similar
material.
• Some disc changers need conversion cords for connection. See
the section on "Safety Precautions" for details.
• M ount the unit so that the mounting angle is 30 ° or less.
