Qualified personnel
MSK motors according to the ATEX 2014/34/EU guidelines are based on the
MSK standard motor type.
MSK motors according to the ATEX 2014/34/EU guidelines are designated
by a "S" on the 25th position of the type codes. The following motors are
available:

These operating instructions provide special notes regarding assembly, com‐
missioning, operation, maintenance, and dismantling of the ATEX design of
MSK motors.
The motors must only be commissioned in an explosive environment, if:
all the following notes regarding commissioning and application of the
project planning manual DOK-MOTOR*-MSK*EXGIIK3-PR⃞⃞-⃞⃞-P
have been understood and put into practice.
The overall system, consisting of motor, drive control devices, cables,
and accessories was inspected, accepted and logged according to the
requirements of the relevant standards.
These operating instructions form a part of the product and must
be kept by the user of the motors over the entire operation and
lifetime of the product. If the product is passed on or sold, these
instructions must also be passed on to each new owner or user.
Is this product operated and used in another country or another
linguistic area, it is only allowed to forward this product, if ope‐
rating instructions written in the national language or in the lan‐
guage of the linguistic area in which the product is used are sup‐
plied with the product.
The persons responsible for the safety of persons involved in the work or af‐
fected by it must act in accordance with the national legislation.
All persons working on, with or in the vicinity of an electrical system must be
informed of the relevant safety requirements, safety guidelines and internal
instructions (source: EN 50110-1).
Considering the correspondent national regulations, ATEX motors may be
commissioned only by a skilled and competent electrician for explosion-pro‐
tection.
