1. Lieferumfang
Kontrollieren Sie, ob der Lieferumfang komplett ist. Identifizieren Sie alle Teile an-
hand des Fotos auf der Titelseite dieser Anleitung. Es wird empfohlen, das Aufhän-
gen des Hintergrundes zusammen mit einer zweiten Person vorzunehmen.
2. Montage und Inbetriebnahme des Expan Hintergrundhalters
Die auf der Vorderseite zu sehende Abbildung zeigt die Teile des Expan Hinter-
grundhalters zum Aufhängen von Papierhintergründen.
Das System besteht aus zwei Expandersticks: Einem Typ A mit Zahnrad für
die Kette zum Ab- und Aufrollen von Hintergründen und einem Typ B mit ver-
stellbarer Nut. Stecken Sie Typ A an der Seite in den Rollkern, auf der Sie die
Kette haben wollen. Die Wickelrichtung für den Hintergrund ist Ihre
Entscheidung.
Drehen Sie das Feststellrad im Uhrzeigersinn, bis Expanderstick und Hinter-
grundrolle fest verbunden sind. Der weiße Rahmen des Expandersticks A
muss sich nach dem Aufhängen letztlich in horizontaler Stellung befinden,
damit die Kette laufen kann - unabhängig davon, ob die Wandhaken an der
Wand oder an der Decke befestigt werden.
Es empfiehlt sich, hierfür die Nut beim Expanderstick B auf eine mittlere Posi-
tion zu setzen, damit Sie maximalen Spielraum in beide Richtungen haben.
Diese Maße können nun auf die Wand übertragen werden, an der das Hinter-
grundsystem angebracht werden soll.
Nachdem die Wandhaken (nicht enthalten) montiert sind, wird die Hintergrund-
rolle samt den an ihr befestigten Expandersticks mit der Nut am jeweiligen
Wandhaken eingehängt.
Mit dem Feststellrad können sie den Widerstand des Zahnrades, an dem spä-
ter die Kette befestigt wird, regeln. Es sollte nicht zu fest sein, da die Kette,
sonst reißen könnte, und nicht zu locker, da sich ihre Hintergründe sonst selbst
abrollen.
Im letzten Schritt ziehen Sie das Gewicht auf die Kette und führen diese durch
den Rahmen des Expanders auf das Zahnrad. Nun schließen Sie die Kette
zu einem Ring, indem Sie die beiden letzten Glieder miteinander verbinden.
Achten Sie darauf, die Kette nicht zu verdrehen. Durch ein Nachjustieren am
Feststellrad dieses Expanders kann der Haltepunkt der Hintergrundrolle
optimiert werden.

2. Installation and Operation of Expan Background Holder + Chain & Weight
The picture on the front shows the parts of the Expan Background Holder with
chain and weight for mounting paper backgrounds.
The system consists of two expander sticks: a type A with a sprocket for the
chain for unrolling and rolling backgrounds and a type B with an adjustable
groove. Insert type A into the rolling core on the side where you want the chain
to be. The winding direction for the background is your choice. Firstly, please
insert the expander sticks into the background roll.
Turn the locking wheel clockwise until expander stick and background core are
fastened firmly. The white bracket between expander stick and locking wheel
must be positioned horizontally for the chain to run smoothly, independent
from position on the wall or ceiling. It is recommended that you set the groove
on the expander stick B to a middle position to ensure maximum play in both
directions.
Transfer the groove positions to the wall or ceiling, on which the background
system will be mounted.
After installing the hooks (not included), the background with the mounted ex-
pander sticks can then be mounted on the hooks.
Through the locking wheel you can adjust the resistance of the gear, on which
the chain will be fastened. It should not be too firm, because chain links could
break and also not to loose, because your backgrounds could unroll
themselves.
In the last step, mount the weight on the chain and insert it through the bracket
of the expander onto the gear. Now connect the last chain links to make a
chain ring. Mind that the chain isn't twisted. You can optimize the hold point by
readjusting the locking wheel on the expander.
