    IFU. The Arjo Strap Stretcher should only be used for the purpose speci ed in the IFU. Any other use is prohibited. Resident Assessment We recommend that facilities establish regular assessment routines.

    Arjo Strap Stretcher Assembly Attach the Arjo Strap Stretcher to Stretcher Frame NOTE The three closely positioned strap buckles should be positioned at the head end of the strap stretcher. They will be indicated by the head end of the tube. (11 steps)

    Raise the Patient (See respective IFUs for lifters) (6 steps) 1. Bring the lift to the patient. See Fig. 10. 2. Align the center of the frame approximately over the patient’s navel. See Fig. 11. 3. Lower the stetcher frame over the patient. See Fig.

    Adjusting Stretcher Frame (Ceiling Lifts only) (3 steps) 1. To adjust the spreader bar frame, pull out/push in the knobs. See. Fig. 16. 2. Rotate knob. See Fig. 17. 3. Move the support bracket towards the heavier end (downward pointing) when stretcher frame is hanging horizontally.

    Removing a Strap While Raised (2 steps) Individual patient support Cross Straps can be loosened and removed for access to any part of the patient while they are raised. WARNING To avoid injury, remove no more than one strap. Fig. 19 Raise and move the patient away from the bed.

    Once the Cross Straps are removed, proceed to remove all other Arjo Strap Stretcher parts, including the two End Tubes and Side Sections. See Fig. 25. 3.     Care and Preventive Maintenance The Arjo Strap Stretcher, as well as the Dual-Loop Attachment Straps are subject to wear and tear, and the following actions must be performed to make sure that the product remains within its original manufacturing speci cation.
  • Page 21 Strap Inspection WARNING If the strap inspection reveals any signs of irregularities, stop using the strap. The expected service life of the Dual-Loop Attachment Straps is two (2) years. If you have any doubts about the strap’s safety, replace it with a new one. Continual use of a damaged strap can seriously compromise the caregiver’s or patient’s safety.
