Intro:
This procedure details steps to replacing the Z-motor. The Z-motor drives
the Z-belt, which controls the engraving table up and down.
Procedure:
1. Raise the table as far as it will go in the machine.
2. Disconnect the machine from the power source.
3. Remove the right side panel. Picture 1 illustrates the location of the Table
or Z-motor.

- Page 2 4. There are two white connectors on the wires that come from the z-motor and connect to the main harness. The connectors are shown in picture 2. Disconnect both connectors from the main harness. Picture 2 5. There are three Philips head screws (identified by the circles) which secure the motor assembly to the machine chassis.
- Page 3 7. We now have to remove the bracket and pulley from the motor to get the motor completely out of the assembly. 8. To remove the pulley you will need to loosen the set screw with an 3/32 Hex wrench. See picture 4 below to see where the set screw is located. Picture 4 9.
- Page 4 13. Loosely install the three Philips screws. 14. Line the motor mount up with the marks that you made before the mounting screws were removed and tighten the mounting screws. 15. Reconnect the two white motor connectors to the main harness. 16.
