Preparing the CRW-F1SX Drive

2 Connect the CRW-F1SX Drive

Note
Place the CRW-F1SX drive horizontally.

Turn off the computer and all peripheral SCSI devices.

Check that the power switch on the rear panel of the CRW-
F1SX drive is turned off (STANDBY).

Connect the SCSI cable to the SCSI connector of the CRW-
F1SX drive.
Connect the other end of the SCSI cable to the SCSI card
connector of the computer or the other SCSI device.
Note
• The SCSI cable can be connected to either SCSI connector of the CRW-F1SX
drive.
• For stable operation of the CRW-F1SX drive, connecting the drive directly to
the SCSI connector of the computer is recommended.
