  • Page 26 Setting Up The CRW8824SX Drive The CRW8824SX drive requires a D-sub half-pitch 50-pin pin-type connector. The connector of your SCSI adapter card may vary. You will need to obtain a SCSI cable with connectors suitable for both your drive and your SCSI adapter card.

Follow the on-screen instructions and choose to reboot your computer at the end of the driver installation procedure.

With “Sync data transfer” enabled, the data transfer between your CRW8824SX drive and your computer is synchronized, meaning that the maximum possible data transfer rate can be achieved.

  • Page 35 Troubleshooting Errors occur when backing up at 6X or 8X speed from a separate CD- ROM drive to the CRW8824SX drive. A possible reason is that the CD-ROM drive is not suitable. Please use a high- speed CD-ROM drive. However, for various possible reasons, you may still encounter errors even if you are using a 32X or 42X speed CD-ROM drive.
