1.8.4.8 HVDC PEM

The HVDC PEM is used to access the HVDC power supply. Each PEM provides four power
inputs. The two terminals on the right side are connected to the power supply plane on the
client side, and the two terminals on the left are connected to the power supply plane on the
client side. The HVDC PEM is fully configured with the entire system. The system has two
PEMs.

Figure 1-51 shows the appearance of a HVDC PEM.

Users are required to provide protective components for the upstream PDF or the power
cabinet. The rated current of each channel is not less than the AC 16 A.
The input circuit breakers of a PDF must match the output circuit breakers.
If the front-end PDF does not provide enough power inputs, configure a PDB that meets
the following requirements:
The current of each output of the AC PDB is not less than 18.5A.
The PDB must support dual-channel backup.
The input current of the PDB is not less than the sum of the current of the output
line.
