Step 7: Prepare the AED for the next rescue

After transferring the patient to EMS personnel, close the lid of
AED. Prepare the AED for the next rescue:

Open the AED lid.
(Optional) Retrieve the rescue data stored in the internal
memory of the AED. Use RescueLink® software installed
on a PC (see the Data Management chapter in the G3 Elite
Operator and Service Manual).
Connect a new pair of pads to the AED
(see Pad installation on page 2-9).
Close the lid.
Verify that the status indicator on the AED
handle is green.
