Explanation of symbols
The arrow-headed lightning
symbol in an equilateral tri-
angle indicates the presence
of a dangerous uninsulated
electrical voltage within the
system housing and therefore
a risk of electrical shock.
The exclamation mark in
an equilateral triangle, as
affixed to the appliance, is
to make the user aware of
important operating and
maintenance instructions.
This product complies
with European Community
guidelines 2004/108/EC and

The dustbin symbol printed
on our products' type plates
and amplifiers states that
Lautsprecher Teufel guaran-
tees proper disposal of these
speakers and subwoofers in
line with the Electrical and
Electronic Appliance Act.
This product complies with
DIN EN 61140 (VDE 0140-1)
and IEC 60417 of protection
class II. It only requires a
two-pin round plug (included)
and not an earthed plug.
The plug has a reinforced or
double-shielded casing to
prevent electrical shock.

Operating elements on the subwoofer
Mains power – below:
When set to "OFF" , the subwoofer is switched off,
and on when it is set to "ON" .
Power function – top:
When set to "OFF" , the subwoofer is switched
off, and on when it is set to "ON" . If you set the
switch to "AUTO" , the subwoofer will switch on
automatically when it receives a signal. If it re-
ceives no signal, it switches itself off after about
20 minutes.
Phase:
Set the phase positions for your front and cen-
tre speakers here. If the subwoofer and the front
speaker in approximately the same line, set the
phase to 0°, otherwise to 180°.
Crossover:
Here you can set the cut-off frequency at which
the subwoofer ends its activity and the satellite
speakers start to work.
Use an AV receiver/DVD player or a sound
card with corresponding sound configuration
software, set the control to the right setting =
maximum and select the cut-off frequency of
120Hz on the receiver/DVD player/PC.

Connect the speaker cable to the five satellites
here.
Fuse:
Under the socket for the mains cable you can find
the mains fuse of the subwoofer. If, after switch-
ing on mains power (➊), the power lamp on the
front side of the device is not lit, please replace
the fuse. You can remove the fuse by using a
screwdriver.
Before exchanging the fuse it is essential to
disconnect the subwoofer from the mains supply.
Only replace the fuse for an equivalent one!
Attention:
The separating equipment of this equipment is the
mains plug, this separating equipment must be
usable without difficulties.
