Method B
1. Working back from where cable enters shelf (at cable gland), carefully dress cable toward opposite side of
shelf. Route cable over slide rail, taking care to not exceed minimum bend radius.
2. From shelf slide, route cable to equipment rack and loosely secure cable to rack upright approximately
3 inches (76mm) above or below shelf, using a cable tie or hook-and-loop strip.
3. Verify that shelf retracts and extends fully before proceeding.

4. The above figure shows typical fiber loop for both Method A and Method B fiber routing when shelf is
retracted.
Step 2B – Routing Multiple Cables into Sliding Shelf

1. Route cables, one at a time, into fully extended sliding shelf as outlined in Step 2A.
