Problem
Resin loss through drain
line
Iron presence in the
valve/treated water
Too much water in the
brine tank.
Salted water in service
line

Cause
Top distributor missing or broken. Add or replace the top distributor.
Air in water system.
Improperly sized drain line flow
control.
The resin bed is dirty.
Iron concentration exceeds
recommended parameters.
Plugged drain line flow control.
Plugged injector system.
Faulty brine valve.
Bad programming.
Controller is not cycling.
Foreign material in the brine
valve.
Foreign material in the brine line
flow control.
Plugged injector and/or filter.
Power head not operating
properly.
Foreign material in the brine
valve.
Foreign material in the brine line
flow control.
Low water pressure.
Bad programming.
Solution
Ensure the presence of air check
system in the brine tank.
Size the drain line flow control
correctly.
Check backwash, brine draw, and
brine refill. Regenerate more
often and increase backwash
cycle time.
Contact your local dealer.
Clean drain line flow control.
Clean injector and screen, change
if necessary.
Change brine valve.
Program correctly.
Change controller.
Replace brine valve seat and clean
the valve.
Clean brine line flow control.
Clean or replace injector and/or
filter.
Change power head.
Replace brine valve seat and clean
the valve.
Clean brine line flow control.
Raise inlet pressure to 1.8 bar
minimum.
Program correctly.
