Introduction
The HDMI-TP-TX100R is a HDMI 1.3a compatible Twisted Pair transmitter. It includes EDID
management function, which is configurable on the front panel.
Typical application
HDMI-TP-TX100R and RX extender pair
Installation
1. Connect the source to the HDMI INPUT connector,
2. Connect the receiver or a compatible Lightware device
a. VIDEO OUT with a Twisted Pair cable
b. DDC OUT with another Twisted Pair cable
3. Supply the unit with +12V 1A DC. The available power supply settings:
TX jumper configuration
only local adaptor
local adaptor + remote send to RX
only remote receive from RX
only local adaptor
only remote receive from Input Board

Selected EDID is invalid
EDID Status Y
Selected EDID is valid

Hotplug detected

Selecting an EDID
1. Turn the EDID ADDRESS rotary switches to the desired position.
The available factory preset EDIDs are listed on the top of the device.
2. The EDID Status LEDs provide feedback:
Red:
an empty memory or invalid EDID is selected.
Green: valid EDID is present at input.
3. Now the selected EDID is reported at the HDMI INPUT.
EDID Memory
The factory preset EDIDs are listed on the top of the device (#01..#49). Address #00
contains a copy of the last attached and recognized monitors' EDID, and memory range
#51..#99 is user programmable. The #30..#45 memories and #49 (universal EDID) contain
EDIDs supporting various embedded audio formats, for HDMI audio.
Learning EDID
1. Turn the EDID ADDRESS rotary switches to the desired memory location where you want to
store the attached display's EDID (between user addresses #51..#99),
2. Connect the desired display device to the HDMI OUTPUT,
3. Press and hold the LEARN button for approximately 3 seconds,
4. The EDID STATUS LEDs provide feedback:
Red:
the learn process failed from the output.
Green: the learn process was successful from the output.
