    Preparation Removing the insulating strip Remove the insulating plastic strip from the battery if the battery is being used for the first time.     This instruction manual explains the basic instructions for operating this unit. Unless otherwise stated, all operations described are based on remote control use. Basic Operation The first time you switch your unit on it will automatically start to scan for DAB radio stations, so make sure you have fully extended your aerial.

    Daily Timer This function allows you to program the unit to automatically switch on from standby at a certain time everyday. 1. Press and hold TIMER until “ON TIMER“ is displayed. 2. Press repeatedly on the remote control to select the hour you want the unit to switch on.

    Manual Tuning You can also manually tune the unit, which can help if you know your unit has missed stations while performing a SCAN. You will need to know which multiplex the missing radio station is in. 1. Press MENU, ‘Manual tune’ will appear on the display. 2.

    DAB Information Display You can view the DAB service information in the following modes. Depending on the DAB radio station you are tuned into, some information modes may be unavailable. Press the INFO button repeatedly on the remote control to view the following information.     FM Radio Operation • Make sure the aerial is correctly connected and fully extended, away from any electrical devices that could cause interference. • If reception is still poor, try to adjust the FM/DAB aerial location. Press the MODE button to select FM RADIO source. The words “FM RADIO” will be briefly be displayed.

Press the MONO/STEREO button to change from MONO to STEREO. • FM Information Display Many FM stations broadcast additional service information.
