Please note the following safety notes to avoid mal-
functions, damage or physical injury:
 Please read this manual carefully and use the charger only
according to this manual.
 Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are
not allowed to use the unit, unless they are supervised and
briefed for their safety by a qualified person.
 Only use this charger for charging 6 V resp. 12 V sealed lead-
acid batteries and do not charge dry-cell batteries, otherwise the
batteries might explode.
 Make sure not to cause a short-circuit by accidentally touching
voltage-carrying parts with the quick clamps and observe right
polarity.
 Do not stress the cord. Do not bend the cord and keep it away
from hot and sharp surfaces. Do not wind the cord around the
unit.
 Do not expose the charger to excessive temperatures and avoid
strong mechanical stress of the unit and the cord. Do not expose
the charger to rain, snow or wet conditions.
 Make sure the quick clamps do not touch each other while the
unit is in operation.
 The charger may not be used if the charger itself or the power
cable are damaged. If this happens, please have the unit
repaired by a professional.
 Only operate the charger indoors.
 Do not operate the charger in the vicinity of strong magnetic and
high-frequency (HF) fields.
