Cleaning the appliance
3 Stretch your skin taut with your free hand.
Gently press the shaving unit onto the skin and
move it slowly and smoothly against the
direction of hair growth.
- Do not press too hard. Too much pressure can
distort the foil and cause skin irritation.
- Make sure that the shaving unit is always in full
contact with your skin.
- The shaver is bi-directional, which means that
you can shave by moving the appliance up and
down. Shave against the direction of hair
growth for optimal performance.
4 Switch off and clean the appliance after each
use (see 'Cleaning and maintenance').
Regular cleaning guarantees better grooming
results.
Never clean, remove or replace a shaving or
cutting unit while the appliance is switched on.
Always check if the water is too hot, to prevent
burning your hands.
Never dry cutting units or shaving foils with a
towel or tissue, as this may cause damage.
Never use compressed air, scouring pads,
abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids
such as petrol or acetone to clean the
appliance.
Clean the appliance after every use (see 'Cleaning
and maintenance').
1 Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from
the wall socket.
2 Remove the trimming comb from the appliance
and rinse it under the tap.
