The maximum DVI cable length that can be used from the PC to the AdderView DVI
will vary from PC to PC depending upon the computer's video card, but typically 5
metres is achievable at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz and 10 metres is
achievable at a resolution of 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz
Keyboard and PS/2 mice - 6 pin mini-DIN male connector to 6 pin mini-DIN male
connector with all lines connected straight through (1-1,2-2 etc.). For 'interface
powered' operation without the optional power adapter the cables should be no
longer than 5 metres (see section 2.4 for more details). For operation with the power
adapter, cables should be no longer than 30 metres.
RS232 serial mice - these require a special converter to connect the RS232 lines
present on the AdderView DVI mouse ports to the RS232 port on a PC.
Cables should be no longer than 30 metres.
NOTE - There are several common wiring specifications for 6-pin mini-DIN to
9-pin serial adapters. If you have an adapter that has been supplied with a
mouse it may have a completely different internal wiring to that shown above
and may not be compatible with the AdderView
