Debris in gun air passages
Loose air fittings
Worn air seals
Prime valve is leaking.
Prime valve is plugged.

What to Do
When check is not OK,
refer to this column
Clean threads.
Put nozzle on gun.
Adjust when trigger is not
pulled.
Clean gun.
Tighten air fittings on gun
Replace air shutoff needle
u-cup (4) and/or air valve
seal (18)
Remove and clean prime
valve.
