8 MAINTENANCE
The Obelux obstruction lights are designed to have more than 20 years of maintenance free operating
lifetime. The fault monitoring feature will give an alarm signal when the unit requires attention. A yearly visual
examination of the products and operation is sufficient.
8.1 Updating device software
To update the device software, a Cyclone programmer unit containing an updated software version is
needed. Obelux provides information on what software version to use. If you are unsure about which version
to use, consult Obelux before preforming the update.
1. Disconnect power from the light. Programming device will provide power to the light during
programming.
2. Connect power to the Cyclone FX programmer
3. Select correct software (*.SAP file) from programmer by pressing Menu button and opening Select
Programming Image menu on the touch screen. Select the correct SAP file from the menu.
4. Open the service door on the side of the light head. Connect programmer cable.
