A programming device (PG) is a special industrial-grade personal computer with a
compact design. It is fully equipped for programming SIMATIC automation
systems.
Characteristics of the Programming Devices
A PG or PC with the meeting the following requirements is needed to work
effectively with STEP 7:

Graphics
Color monitor, keyboard and mouse
