CAUTION: To protect the scanner, do not leave the scanner unit
open any longer than necessary.
4. Remove the jammed paper or card.
5. Press down the section marked
below. Then, push the scanner unit in until it clicks. (If the
unit is not closed properly, a cover open error occurs.)
6. Attach the scanner cover while sliding it down. To complete
the assembly, match the triangular symbols on the scanner
cover and on the side of the card section, as shown below.

Validation section

1. Remove the paper from the validation section.
2. Send an error recovery command to the printer.

Roll paper section

1. Open the roll paper cover by pushing the cover open
button.
2. Remove roll paper, if necessary, remove any jammed paper,
and then reload paper again.
3. Close the roll paper cover.

Solution
Close roll paper cover or ink
cartridge cover. Check for a paper
jam. Printer recovers automatically
if error is fixed. if problem continues,
contact your servicer.
After continuous use, head may
heat up. Wait for it to cool down.
