2-3. Fan Motor Replacement
If the fan motor is found to have any abnormality from the
SYSTEM LED indicator (red) that turns on in red or from
an error message of the BZSR-2000, replace the fan motor
unit or replace the defective fan motor.
This section describes how to replace the fan motor unit.
For details on how to replace the fan motor, refer to the
VSR-2000/2000A Service Manual.
Replacing the fan motor unit
The periodic replacement of the fan motor unit is recom-
mended.
The fan motor unit can be replaced while the main power
is being supplied to the unit.

When the fan motor unit is replaced while the main power
is turned on, be careful of the following items.
. Be sure to put on the earth-band to ground the unit
against electrostatic shock.
Replacing the fan motor unit without earth-band could
cause wrong operation.
. Be careful not to subject the fan motor unit to shock.
. Replace the fan motor unit in about one minute or
shorter as much as possible to ensure air cooling effects.

Removal Procedure
1. Confirm that the indicator of the fan motor unit to be
replaced does not turn on.
2. Remove the two screws indicated by the mark ⇐, and
remove the fan motor unit by holding the handle.

Touching the rotating fan may cause injury.
Pay utmost care when replacing the fan while the main
power is turned on,.

Installation Procedure
1. Insert the new fan motor unit into the slot completely.
2. Fix the fan motor unit with the two screws.
Checking After Replacement
Confirm that the error message of the BZSR-2000 disap-
pears or the SYSTEM LED indicator (red) does not turn
on.
