CAUTION:
Incoming water supply must be provided before installation of the refrigeration unit
and must comply with local plumbing requirements.
• Potable water connections to the equipment must comply with the basic
plumbing code of the Building Officials and Code Administrators Interna-
tional, Inc. (BOCA) and the Food Service Sanitation Manual of the Food
and Drug Administration. Verify local plumbing code requirements.
• A minimum 3/4" (19 mm) water supply line with a manual shut-off valve
must be plumbed to at least 6 ft (183 cm) from the unit. The incoming
water supply pressure must not exceed 70 psi static (4.8 bar) and be no
less than 40 psi (2.8 bar) dynamic. If supply water pressure is greater
than 70 psi (5 bar), a water regulator is required. If a water filter is to be
installed, connect the line to the outlet fitting of the filter. Plumb according
to applicable plumbing codes.
• Locate the drain hose provided in the installation kit. Attach the drain
hose to the water bath overflow tube located on the bottom of the refrig-
eration unit and route it to an appropriate drain. The drain must be within
6 ft. of the output connection on the unit.

The drain for the unit exits the unit in the center of the bottom. It is a male NPT fitting
and is flush with the bottom of the unit. Connect the provided right angle elbow barb
fitting to the male fitting, then connect 1/2 in. drain tubing to the barb fitting and run
the drain tube to the nearest floor drain.

Failure to install the two wall brackets from the BIB rack to the wall may result in a
tipping hazard.
FAILURE TO COMPLY COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY, DEATH
OR EQUIPMENT DAMAGE.
The Energize unit is installed on top of the BIB rack. To install the unit, perform the
procedure in Table 4.
