3. Set the data test set to generate a PRNG pattern.
4. If you receive errors:
a. Check the wiring for short circuits and incorrect connections. (Appendix A gives correct pin
assignments.)
b. If the wiring is correct, replace the module adapter with a spare.
c. If there are still errors, replace the DS-64NC module itself with a spare.
5. If there are no errors, perform the same test at the other end of the circuit.
If you have test sets available at both ends of the circuit, you may also perform these steps to
conduct an end-to-end test:
1. Connect the test set at each end to the module adapter for DS-64NC module.
2. Send test signals in both directions of the circuit.
